A parent-to-parent voluntary support group

Experience and Resource Sharing

Parent to Parent Supporters Cuidiú recognises there are times when parents may be experiencing a challenging time as a parent. At these times it may be a comfort and helpful  to talk about concerns with others in the same situation as you. Difficulties can confront us whatever the age of our children.  Feeling isolated, whether emotional or physical, can be a difficult aspect of parenthood at this time.

Parent to parent supporters  offer peer support and have information on resources locally and nationally, that may be of help. They are trained parents who may be able to put you in touch with other parents who may be in or had similar circumstances as you.  See list for your local supporter Parent to Parent Support List

You can reach out to a supporter if you would like to be put in touch with someone who may have had a similar experience to an issue or worry affecting you and your family. Maybe you need a listening ear or perhaps just practical information on services and supports,  then please make contact with your nearest branch or nearest Parent to Parent supporter in Cuidiu.  This is a totally confidential aspect to Cuidiu and connecting parents to share experiences is only carried out on request and with the permission of other parents involved.

This is not a substitute for medical advice. Every enquiry is handled in a sensitive and strictly confidential manner.
